Afghan Hounds, with their luxuriously long coats, do well in milder regions. Extreme heat or cold could be detrimental to their growth, but moderate temperatures are ideal. The ideal temperature range for Afghan Hounds is between fifteen and twenty-four degrees Celsius, or sixty to seventy degrees Fahrenheit.

Afghan Hounds are susceptible to overheating in hot weather because of their thick, insulating coats. During hot weather, it is extremely vital to provide shade and cold water to avoid heat-related disorders. It is also recommended that you should not engage in any vigorous physical activity while the temperature is at its highest.

Due to their relatively thin coats, Afghan Hounds may need to be protected from low temperatures while it's chilly outside. You can make cold weather more bearable by giving them a warm place to stay and, maybe, some dog clothes.

But in really cold weather, it's critical to watch them for symptoms of distress. Although Afghan Hounds may adjust to many temperatures with the right care, it's important to consider their unique requirements.

Keep an eye on your dog's behavior and make adjustments to their living arrangements as needed to make sure they're comfortable in varied temperature ranges. It is best to get the expert opinion of a veterinarian if you are worried about your Afghan Hound's adaptability to certain climates.
