The biting power of an American Pitbull is 240 - 330, making it one of the strongest of any breed of dog. When they close their formidable jaws, the force applied may be as much as 300 pounds. When compared to the bite power of a person, which is roughly 120 pounds, that of the ferocious great white shark is an astounding 600 pounds.
