The Bordoodle, or Border Doodle, is a recently developed mixed breed dog that hails from the US and first emerged in the late 1990s to early 2000s. A hybrid breed came into existence by crossbreeding a Border Collie and a Poodle to develop a dog that has the intelligence and teachability characteristic of the former, as well as the non-allergenic fur commonly known from the Poodle.
The Bordoodle's precise lineage remains uncertain, and the identity of the breeder who initially crossbred its two parental breeds is unknown. Nevertheless, the breed rapidly became sought-after for its attractive appearance, amiable disposition, and exceptional work performance.
