Although it can be difficult to tell, Brazilian Terrier puppies usually attain their full adult size by the time they are 12 months old. If you have been with them since they were small, you likely recall watching them grow and develop, from cutting their teeth to learning how to play fetch and using the bathroom in public.
A yearly wellness check and, in accordance with state rules, a yearly rabies vaccine are standard for healthy adult dogs in their prime at routine veterinary visits. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) recommends giving pups a series of vaccines beginning at 6 to 8 weeks of age, with the last dose given at 16 weeks.
Brazilian Terrier dogs, like all canines, attain sexual maturity between the ages of 6 and 12 months, at which point they can mate and have pups of their own. But it's important to stress that breeding should only take place in carefully planned and monitored settings. Dogs used for breeding should be subjected to extensive medical testing to rule out the presence of any genetic abnormalities or hereditary problems that could be passed on to their offspring. The health and safety of the dam (female) and the puppies depends on ethical breeding procedures.
It's important to keep an eye on breeding dogs to make sure no injuries or fights break out. During the female dog's heat cycle, which occurs every 6-12 months and lasts for around 2-3 weeks, mating is encouraged. The female will be more receptive to mating and may display changes in behavior, such as greater love and restlessness, during this time. In order to safeguard the health and safety of all parties involved, dog breeding should only be done by professional breeders or under the supervision of a veterinarian.
