Water

liquid love for your briard quenching thirst

Always keep your Briard hydrated by providing it with lots of clean water.. Refill the water dish at least once or twice a day, or more often if needed, to keep it full. Your dog may not drink as much if you provide him with stagnant or unclean water, which might house germs.

Make sure the water bowl is within easy reach of your Briard. Your dog's size and age will determine how high you should set the bowl. For the sake of safety, make sure the bowl is secure and will not slide about.

If your home or yard is very spacious, you may want to set up many watering stations for your Briard. This manner, no matter where they go, they can be guaranteed that water will be available to them. Having access to more than one water supply is ideal in hot climates or while engaging in strenuous physical exercise.

If your Briard likes to spend time outside, they will need constant access to fresh water. Get a water dish that won't leak and can survive the elements outside. If you live in a hot climate, you may want to put some ice cubes in the water dish.

When you go on adventures with your Briard, be sure to have a bowl & plenty of water. That way, they won't become dehydrated, even if they're out and about for a while.

Dry mouth, fatigue, sagging skin, and less urine production are all symptoms of dehydration. Get in touch with your vet if you have concerns that your Briard may be dehydrated.
