Combtail betta has a comb-like tail. The origin of combtail betta can be traced back to the shallow rice field of southeast Asia, mainly Thailand previously known as Siams source. Combtail is a gene of Siamese fighting fish. The combtail betta is mostly found in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Combtail betta is an aggressive and territorial fish. A crowntail betta is not just an aquarium fish but they are also fighting fish. They carry a long history as the warrior of Siam.

A combtail fish scientifically known as betta splendens which belongs to the family of oshpronrmidae and carries the betta gene. This is the oldest fish that was discovered domesticated at least 1000 years ago. Initially phase they are used to gambling matches and cockfighting.

Description

Combtail betta is one of the species of betta which is a hybrid version of vial tail betta and crowntail betta. This means it’s carrying the beauty and elegance of the veil tail and length and fin of the crowntail betta, such a unique breed. They are originated from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia.

They made their homes in the shallow, slow–moving waters of rice paddies, even small ditches, and ponds. They developed their ability over time, they can breathe oxygen from the air, which helps them to tolerate low oxygen levels. As you know they started their journey from the fighting fish to the aquarium fish. They catch the attention of the breeder due to their vibrant and unique color, and flowing fins.
