Place To Sleep

Get a good dog bed that fits your Dachshund's measurements. Find a bed that will provide your dog the support and padding they need, and make sure it's big enough for them to sprawl out. A removable and washable mattress cover is something to consider.

Pick a calm and pleasant room in the house as the sleeping quarters for your Dachsador. It will make them feel safe and at ease. Don't put the bed next to a busy hallway or in a room with a lot of loud equipment.

Temperature and Ventilation: Keep the bedroom at a cool, comfortable temperature with good air circulation. Keep the bed away from windows and drafts. During the winter months, make sure your Dachshund is nice and toasty by providing additional bedding or a warm blanket.

Some canines feel more secure when they have some own space to rest in. Provide a den-like resting space by setting up a bed with elevated sides or a special sleeping cage. Your Dachshund will feel more at ease while sleeping.

Maintain a spotless resting place for your Dachshund at all times. Get rid of any dust or grime by washing the sheets and vacuuming the room. Your dog will have a clean, cozy place to sleep if you do this.

Dogs, being creatures of habit, do better when they have a regular bed and routine. Keep your Dachsador's bed in the same general area, particularly if it has become used to a certain place.
