As is the case with other breeds of dogs, Dalmatians are able to survive in a wide range of temperatures; however, their ability to withstand harsh temperatures is contingent upon their coat, their physical health, and their level of acclimatization. On the other hand, it is essential to keep in mind that Dalmatians have short coats and are much more sensitive to variations in temperature, especially when the weather is hot.

Because of their short coat, Dalmatians are not well-suited for environments that are particularly cold since their coat provides only a limited amount of protection against the chilly wind. They may need additional protection, such as jackets or sweaters, in order to keep themselves warm when the temperature is really low.

As a result of the fact that Dalmatians might experience discomfort and even danger when exposed to very cold weather, it is recommended that their exposure to such circumstances be limited and that they be provided with suitable shelter.

As a result of the distinctive pattern of their coats, Dalmatians are more likely to have heat-related problems when the temperature is high. Because the black areas on their coat have the ability to absorb heat, they are more likely to become sunburned.

It is possible that their vivacious temperament may cause them to overexert themselves in hot weather, which might lead to heatstroke or fatigue. It is important to avoid intense activity during the warmest periods of the day in order to ensure that your Dalmatian is comfortable when the weather is warm. In addition, you should offer enough shade and fresh water.
