Betta is naturally omnivorous, they prefer to eat live food like small invertebrates and insects that float the surface of the water. Like other they have a short digestive system; a basic thing of carnivores' dieting process is they have difficulty of processing carbohydrates such as corn and wheat; which are generally shown in many fish. A betta diet includes nutrition-rich animal protein.

They prefer to eat animal protein-rich food and leaves. Dragon scale betta consume a variety of foods that are animal-based and high in protein. You can also feed them dry foods like flakes, granules, and pellets, and also include frozen and live food such as artemia and blood worms. Don’t overfeed them. Overfeeding leads to digestion and obesity. Properly supply a vitamin-enriched diet which increases the immunity system.

They eat live food such as small insects and invertebrates, as well as frozen food. so making feeding easy offers them different types of foods. if possible arrange the feeding schedule. You can feed them once or twice per day.

Whatever method is used, avoid including large meals. giant betta requires more food than smaller betta. They also eat aquarium shrimp, considered a costly diet for bettas. If you put them with amino shrimp; they will eat them.

A betta fish has a very small stomach and a weak immune system. So, easily develop digestive problems such as constipation and bloating. So, provide extra care and attention to their meal.

Pellets: pellets and omega are the first choice betta keepers. This food was easy to digest and rich in protein.

Flake food: flake food comes with different fillers so Betta remains interested in food. But feeding for a long time the same food causes bloating.

Frozen food: this is one of the favorite betta foods such as bloodworms. Some of the betta caretakers use frozen food like junk food or primary food.

Freeze-dried: treat your betta sometimes for change offer them Daphnia, Brine Shrimps, and Bloodworms as an occasional treat. When they are bored from the regular diet offer them dried worms or shrimp.
