If they have access to enough shelter, water, and ventilation, Dorgi dogs may live happily in a temperature range of around 50 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit (10 to 29 degrees Celsius). Taking additional measures to protect your dog's health and wellbeing is crucial in situations involving very high temperatures.

Several variables, such as the dog's age, health, coat type, and adaptation to the environment, affect the dog's capacity to handle varied temperatures. Like their Dachshund and WelshDorgi ancestors, Dorgis have a double coat that provides some protection from the cold and the heat.

Dorgis can tolerate somewhat cool temperatures, but their tiny legs and close contact to the cold ground may make them more vulnerable to very low temperatures. When the temperature drops drastically, it is crucial to keep a constant eye on them and give enough protection, such as a dog sweater or coat.

The Dorgi's double coat may not provide as much protection from the heat as a single garment would in hot weather. Overheating is a risk for them, so keeping them in a cool, shady area throughout the summer is essential. Make sure they have enough of cool water available at all times, and try to keep them from working out when it's really hot outside.
