Bite Force

It is reasonable to assume that a Dorkie's bite force would be in the range of 200 to 300 pounds per square inch (psi), which is typical of most domestic dogs, though the exact bite force of a Dorkie has not been studied or documented in great detail.

The bite force of a Dorkie, which is a crossbreed between a Dachshund and a Yorkshire Terrier, is not well-documented or widely studied. Generally, the bite force of small dog breeds, like Dachshunds and Yorkshire Terriers, is much lower compared to larger breeds.

Dachshunds are not known for having a particularly strong bite force, as they were originally bred for hunting smaller prey like badgers, and their jaws are adapted to that purpose. Yorkshire Terriers are also small dogs with relatively moderate bite force.

There are a number of elements that contribute to a dog's bite power, such as the size and form of their jaw muscles and the structure of their jawbone. The biting power of a Dorkie is likely to fall within the typical range for canines of its size.
