The double-tail betta originated from the marshy river of Southeast Asia. It does not prefer to live in cold water so should be kept in a mildly warm aquarium. The South Asia Rivers have a straight not any rapid movement. So Betta prefers to live in non-wavy constant water. The betta likes the water which mimics their natural habitat. A natural habitat of betta is tropical freshwater that lives in shallow, stagnant bodies of water, rice paddies, and salt marshes. The relationship with rice fields led to domestication. They live in small spaces with the appropriate segments., this betta needs a natural environment to survive.
they live in tropical water with a temperature range between 76°F to 80°F and a PH value between 6.5 to 7.5. They also prefer hiding spots in their habitat as well as resting spaces. They prefer resting in areas adorned with shaded spots and aquatic plants.
Double tail betta enjoys living in a warm place and fresh air. Water is slow-moving with heavy plant life.in the alternative, you can create rice paddies by adding floating plants. So when you choose the habitat for the double-tail betta, make sure they are the same as their natural habitat; put the artificial leaves, plants, etc. including hiding spots like caves, and decorations.
Normal behavior

Compatible species: they are only compatible with nonaggressive species and who share the same parameters as them.
