Coming from the Southeast Asia basin in Thailand, Indonesia is the best fish. This freshwater fish is an experiment. The native is from Southeast Asia, regions such as Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Their natural habitat ranges from rice paddies to slow-moving water and flood plains.

A natural habitat of betta is tropical freshwater that lives in shallow, stagnant bodies of water,

rice paddies, and salt marshes. The relationship with rice fields led to domestication. They live in small spaces with the appropriate segments. This betta needs a natural environment to survive.

Beauty is not everything, but behavior is also a major part of their appearance. They carry different behaviors and temperaments.

Aggressive: as we know betta is aggressive by nature as well as territorial. The male betta is aggressive towards other male betta they are more aggressive when the matter of territory. When the two males face off they flare their gills and spread fin, who showcase dominating side.

Curiosity: one of the major things is its curious nature. They wander around nearby and explore their surrounding. They often observe tank decore and caretaker activity.

Solitude preference: as we know they are aggressive so they prefer to live in solitude and enjoy living like this. They like to live where no threat.

Displaying: they are expressive and like to express their behavior via displaying action. To display their elegance look they spread their fin and dance gracefully. The behavior is dominance while courting the mate. They follow them.

Activity level: they are active fish, they swim across the tank during day time and occasionally rest on plants and decorations. An almond leaf is the best resting place for them.

Social interaction:

If you put two male bettas together it’s a rare chance to get along with them, they are aggressive and end up killing each other. Even you can not put male and female together they are together only for breeding purposes.

An important factor is companionship, when the space is large they live together but with different species that have a quiet nature.
