Watching a half-sun betta is truly a treat to the eyes because of their marvelous appearance. Which merges the best features of parent breeds, which display elegance and vibrancy that stand out in the betta world.
Body shape
In a betta splendens has a streamlined body. It has a slender, torpedo-like shape which allows them movemently graceful. The fish looks muscular as well as delicate.
Males have a longer fin and a more vibrant color where whereas females have white egg spots visible below their bellies. Males are more aggressive when they build a bubble nest, and females a calm and provide a helping hand.
Color pattern
· Solid – no color or pattern variation, whole fish has the same color.
· Bi-color – Fins color differs from the body color which is a Bi-color.
· Cambodian – fins have a solid color whereas the body is colorless or pale in color.
· Butterfly – fins have a multiple color pattern like butterfly
· Marble – random patches and irregular patterns throughout the body and fin.
· Piebald – Pale flesh-colored face irrespective of body color.
· Full Mask – The natural color and pattern of the body are darker whereas the Face and body have the same solid color
· Dragon – main body color is solid with hard scale on the entire body
· Multicolor –multiple colors of the body and fin as well as different types of pattern
· Pastel – fin has a light shade, and the body remains a solid color
· Koi –clean colors and perfectly defining lines perfectly synchronized.
· Nemo –base contains two colors white or orange. main colors: Orange, red, yellow, black

As you know betta comes with various tail types and breeders also develop the various tails through the breeding of different bettas.
In the tail you can use the term “webbing” and “rays”. The term webbing is used the describe fin tissue the joint is a dense structure that looks like a vein in the fin and tail. The structure is called the rays.
