Their food habitat is carnivorous so they eat a combination of food which is animal protein and green leaf. Make sure to find flakes or high-quality pellets that are protein-rich. You can eat plenty of meat to maintain nutritional value. You can add dried food and frozen food.

You can also offer food like plankton. A high-quality food with supplements is a good choice. Even you can occasionally give them vegetables such as peas(remember to remove the peel of the veggie and chop in a small piece, because a large piece may be choked).

If it’s possible provide your betta with a diet that includes a variety of meat-based food such as flakes, pellets, daphnia, freeze-dried blood worms, and frozen food which fulfill the nutrition need of the blue betta.

Constipation: the causes of constipation are overfeeding and lack of fiber in the diet. The treatment is fasting for 2-3 days, and feeding peas as well as high-quality betta food.

Swim bladder: symptoms of this disease beta cannot swim properly. If you notice that your fish having difficulty swimming it might suffer from swim bladder. It is often caused by overfeeding or low fiber in the diet.
