To maintain a healthy purplebetta requires the heater to maintain a warm environment of 75- 80 ˚F. The appropriate temperature range is 78-80˚F. They prefer slightly acidic pH levels of 6.0-7.0, although they can endure pH levels up to 8.0. Maintain a stable pH range.
Some common symptoms indicate that Betta is sick.
· When betta gets sick, their color may fade or lose color.
· Healthy betta have a whole fin whereas unhealthy betta may develop a rip or torn fin.
· Normally, betta is highly active but when they become sick their movement slows down.
Sometimes when they are sick, betta hides at the bottom of the tank like dead.
· Observe betta eating habits, when they are sick, they lose their appetites.
· The betta shows white spots around the head and mouth.
· The betta trying to rub and scratch the side of the tank may be they feel itching.
Some are common diseases in purple betta:
Fin rot: fin rot is a bacteria infection and its symptom is fin tearing. The symptoms begin with a tiny spot on the edges of the betta find which may in the loss of their fin. The reasons behind the bacterial infection are poor water quality, the low temperature below 78, and the build-up of toxic ammonia compounds. It commonly affects fish that have a low immunity.

These symptoms include stress, dullness, loss of appetite, and even death, also caused by poor water quality.
Other common betta symptoms
