A marble betta fish changes color throughout its life. Marbling occurs due to a genetic variation betta changes the color and patches shown on the body. When it comes to the coloring and appearance of marble betta there are various variants; you can say that color changes the game.

Marble beta is born with the special gene that is responsible for changing the color throughout their life. This gene is found in the chromosomes. It blocks the natural black pigment, the result is color change where the skin is pigmented a patch is shown, this is called betta marbling.

The most common coloration observed during betta marbling is red, blue, white, and purple. The color-changing frequency is unpredictable, as there are no proven rules that apply to it. If the specialized transposable genes are present in bettas, they block the natural production of melano and stick them in e place which causes pigmentation in that area known as marbling. Betta experiences marbling their entire life.

Most marble betta fish are born with these genes whose main functions are moving from gene to gene and chromosome to chromosome. A color change frequently throughout life.

Where do the betta colors come from?

The colors in betta come from the mutated pigments. Most betta have a different color due to distinct phenomena. It happens because of three pigments that could undergo genetic mutation. there are three pigmentations responsible for different colors. These pigments are yellow, black, and red scientifically known as white lutein, melanin, and erythropterus. The yellow pigment, the black pigment and red pigment cause different mealano such as xanthophores, melanophores, and erythrophores.

some studies find that betta colors are in layers. However, there is no evidence toof how the layers are organized in order. Even research can not find how the color is arranged and how that works in genetics. These are because of some phenotypes. The phenotypes are responsible for certain features such as color.

H.M. wallbrun theory suggests that betta splendens colors are in four successive layers; according to layer theory, they have four color layers such as red, black, yellow, and iridescent. each layer consisting of domain and recessive alleles while undergoing mutation. Color variation in betta matches each layer has a different color combination. The yellow layer is superficial the deepest and the iridescent layer. Every layer has been modified because of a gene flattening in two alleles, a recessive and a dominant.

Fin types of marble betta:

Breeders have developed several different finagle and scale variations:

· Veil tail – the most common tail type seen in aqua or pet stores. uneven tail and expand finagle length; caudally fin ray split in two parts.
