Marble betta is an aquarium fish so you can teach them various tricks to entertain. Betta fish is difficult to train. But they are super intelligent but you need little patience for them. Betta learn various tricks such as following the command, flaring when commanded.
Catch the betta attention via light and sound
Sound and vibration: fish have lateral line organs, they react when sound and vibration. At a major aqua, fish hear their trainer walking out on catwalks and platforms indicating that food is on the way. You can do this using a bell, call, clap, or footstep. The biggest components of training are patience and consistency. Use the same signal every time.
Light/shapes: switching light is the most common signal for indoor tanks. Fish can see color, but shapes and different colors will be easy to recognize.
Before teaching them anything, consider some of the things. The first thing is to make acquaintances. Make a close relationship with your betta. When they show you, they are not afraid of them. Instead, they swim toward you. Hygiene is important, simply wash your hands with warm water. A shop contains toxins so it is better to avoid them. When you try to teach them new tricks the surroundings are quiet and there is not much movement in the room. Don’t be aggressive, when you try to teach them be patient.
Some of the basic techniques you should teach your betta. First catch the betta's attention, by dragging your finger across the fish tank, if they notice your finger they swim toward them, elsewhere simply ignore them. Flashing the light or clapping to drag the attention of your betta in the direction of your finger. Once the betta notices the finger and swims toward the finger. Move a finger up and down or right and left. Teach other things once they follow your finger consistently.
Another important trick is to passing the hoop, this is hard tricks to teach. Use a pipe and band it with a circular motion. Make sure that whatever you use is safe and clean. Move your finger across the front and it will move through the hoop simply following your finger. When Betta successfully passes in the hoop reward them with food.
Betta is a natural jumper. To train your betta for jumping. Take one stick and any dried frozen food. Hook the food in the stick. Place the stick above the fish tank. Now try to catch the attention of the betta. If the betta notices the stick move the stick up, for food betta jumps into the water. If they successfully jump reward them with food. This trick performs when you need a lid if they jump.
If your betta does not learn, be a little persistent. Don’t give them stress. Give a proper time to rest for them. When you start a training conduct a 5 -10 minute session. You can teach twice a day.
Fish flare is quite entertaining to watch but difficult to teach. You will need a pen and a mirror with a colored cap. put the mirror in front of the tank near the pen and let’s see how it reflects. When it flares, move the pen forward and reward it with treats. It is good exercise for betta.
Whatever you put in the tank whether it’s hand, stick, or food. Also, properly wash and sanitize them. Because these objects may bring bacteria and fungus to the tank which causes the health problem.
