However, it's important to note that extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold, can pose challenges for their well-being. Mauzers are more sensitive to temperature extremes compared to larger breeds due to their smaller size and different coat types.

In hot weather, Mauzers may be more prone to overheating and heat-related issues. They can struggle to regulate their body temperature efficiently, so it's important to provide them with proper care and precautions in hot climates.

Avoid exposing them to prolonged periods of direct sunlight or high temperatures, especially during the peak heat of the day. Provide ample shade, access to cool water, and avoid excessive physical activity during hot weather. Additionally, be cautious of hot pavement or surfaces, as they can burn their sensitive paw pads.

In cold weather, Mauzers may be more susceptible to the cold due to their smaller bodies and limited insulation. They may require additional protection to stay warm, such as wearing dog sweaters or jackets and using dog boots to protect their paws from ice and cold surfaces.

Limit their exposure to frigid temperatures, especially during extreme cold snaps or inclement weather. Ensure they have a warm and sheltered place to rest, away from drafts, and provide them with cosy bedding.
