Pharaoh Hounds have a moderate tolerance for temperature variations, but they are generally better suited to moderate climates. As a breed with a short coat, they have limited insulation against extreme temperatures, which can make them more sensitive to both hot and cold weather conditions.

In hot climates, Pharaoh Hounds may struggle to regulate their body temperature efficiently. They are prone to overheating, and excessive heat exposure can lead to heatstroke, dehydration, and other heat-related health issues. It's crucial to provide them with ample shade, fresh water, and a cool environment during hot weather. Avoiding strenuous exercise during the hottest parts of the day is also recommended.

Similarly, in extremely cold climates, Pharaoh Hounds may have difficulty staying warm, particularly in subzero temperatures. They are not well-suited to prolonged exposure to cold weather, and precautions should be taken to protect them from extreme cold. This can include providing them with adequate shelter, insulated bedding, and protective clothing if necessary.

Ideally, Pharaoh Hounds should be kept in environments where temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F).

This temperature range provides them with optimal comfort and minimises the risk of temperature-related health issues. However, it's important to note that individual tolerance to temperature can vary, and some Pharaoh Hounds may exhibit more or less tolerance to heat or cold.
