Veltail betta fish's scientific name is carassiu aureus. They acquire the genes of both of them which gives them a mesmerized look. Veiltail betta is water fish so they prefer to live in warm environments with a temperature range between 75- 80 F (24 to 27 C). They like acidic water, and the pH value is between 6.8 to 7.5. the hardness should be 5- 10dH. They can grow up to 1.5-3 inches.

A special organ which is known as the labyrinth organ using this the betta can breathe outside the air, swallowing it on the water's surface. Because of the labyrinth organ which acts like human lungs, because of this betta survive outside the water sometimes.

A beautiful-looking veiltail betta is a carnivore. They prefer animal protein in their diet. They prefer a standard diet of pellet food but you can offer them a variety of food such as small fish, brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworms, mosquito larvae, and earthworms.
