Depending on the dog's overall health and comfort, the ideal temperature range in which a Bacon dog should be kept will vary. Temperatures between 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) are ideal for most dogs.
If you live in a hot climate, make sure your Beauceron has access to plenty of cool shade and water, and try to avoid exercising them during the warmest portions of the day. The ideal temperature for their comfort and safety is below 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius).
Beauceron's thick double coat serves as insulation and protection from the elements during the winter.
However, proper shelter and bedding must still be provided to ensure their comfort and safety. Although beaucerons have a high cold tolerance, they are more comfortable in temperatures above freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celsius).
If you need specific guidance on how to keep your Beaucarne cool throughout the summer, it's best to talk to a vet. Care and attention will go a long way towards ensuring your Beauceron is healthy and content no matter the season.
