Butterflyfish is a freshwater fish discovered near the Pacific Ocean. The replacement of this fish is found in between regions of Taiwan and Australia.
Their preferred habitat is the warm water in deep 65 feet, only a few species live there. They are adapted to life in coral reef systems though a few species also lagoons, and mudflats and inhabit seagrass beds. They are typically found in straight water.
Butterfly fish live in a pair, and individual betta lives in the group they live together and hunt for food together. They eat in a group. Some butterflyfishes are commonly found near coral reefs in shallow water, while others can be seen in deep mudflats, shallow lagoons, and seagrass ecosystems.
Young butterflies live in various areas while adults live in the same place such as boulder reefs, tidal pools, and shallow regions without coral. they choose a mate for life once they choose mate, they live together throughout of life.
A marine butterfly lives in shallow reefs which are close to their homes. They are mostly diurnal, wandering and feeding during day times.
Common habits of butterflyfish:
Butterflyfish is diurnal. It will move during the day and rest at night at the oral reef or any floating object.
Butterflyfish live alone, but once they find a mate; they start traveling and hunting together. They choose one mate and spend a lifetime with them. The butterfly laid eggs during the day because their visibility was low during nighttime.
Some species have black spots on their backs. This mark helps you to defend them against predators and helps to remove them from the tough conditions.
Butterflyfish is good eyesight. Eye use for communicating with each other. Once they separated, one fish swam upward to reveal its position.
