The combtail betta is originated from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia. Wild bettas is a prefer to live in fresh water which is surrounded with rice paddies, marshes and slow-moving streams or stagnant ponds.

Combtail betta is a hybrid version of the veiltail betta and crowntail betta. They inherit the beauty and elegance of vail tail betta and crowntail betta, which transform them into living pieces of art.

Like other betta fish combtail prefer warm water. cold water will affect on immune system, a weak immune system results of loss of appetite, and other diseases. They invite many diseases such as fin rot, velvet, etc.

During the tropical climates, betta’s natural habitat is characterized by extreme and sudden movement in chemistry, water availability, and temperature. They prefer slightly acidic water ph value 6.9 to alkaline (pH of 8.2), the minimum air temperature as low as 15 °C (59 °F) and rise as high as 40 °C (100 °F).

Combtail betta is highly adapting environment changes. betta can tolerate harsh water or toxic environments; this is fair point to increase their popularity as pets. The two biggest threats to the wild bettas are loss of natural habitat and water pollution. Habitat loss is the process that means natural habitat can not support the native species the place is polluted and affected by pollution in a result it can not provide proper environment to live healthy species.
