As an aquarium fish, you can teach him various tricks to entertain. For teaching a betta you need a little patience and persistence. In wild species, the betta is a highly intelligent fish, so you can teach them easily with proper training.

You can teach them various techniques; start with follow the finger, move the following direction, eat from your hand, swim through hoop, jump out of the water, play with a ball, even the betta recognize their owner and get excited to see them. If they like you when they saw you in front of the tank they dance around the water in your presence.

For the training, you can catch the attention of betta via light or sound.. There are various techniques to catch the attention such as giving them a signal, using sound and vibration via bell, call, and clap to cache the user's attention. Use light and shapes for indoor signals.

Start with the following finger. Keep your finger near the fish tank or dip your fingertip in the water. Move your finger until betta notice. When you notice your finger and swim toward the finger, move the finger up and down and right and left. If the betta moves with your finger direction. Reward your fish with every successful attempt when they follow your finger.

Betta is a natural jumper. To train your betta to jump, put a feeding stick above the tank, and remember that food is within the range of the betta. Start with an underwater stick, when betta notice it comes to you. Move a stick up and down to the water surface. Move the stick slowly above the surface. When betta jumps, reward them with food. Make sure that Betta does not jump out of the tank. Buy a lid for the safety of betta.

With a little bit of practice, you betta figure out what you ask. A betta can play with the ball. If you throw the ball in the direction of Betta, she will try to catch them via jump. Conduct one session per day. Give them sufficient time to relax. Do not force them to play. Provide sufficient rest for the health of the betta.

There are things you follow, such as starting with one training session per day which is 5- 10 minutes, after that you can give 2-3 sessions per day. Make sure they give proper rest. Whatever you put in a fish tank such as a stick is properly clean. Wash your hands before training. Do not use soap or other dispensers; because they have harmful chemicals.
